Festivals
Dominica has some nice and colourful festivals which
are popular both among the locals and the tourists.
The highlight is the CARNIVAL in February. It seems
like the whole island joins in the festival. DOMFESTA
is another popular event in summer. The INDEPENDENCE
DAY is on the 3rd November.

Grenada
Festivals
The BILLINGFISH TOURNAMENT which attracts deep-sea
fishers from everywhere held in May. The GRE-NADA
SAILING FESTIVAL takes place in January or February
each year and the GRENADA YACHT CLUB organizes some
races all year round. Another popular event is the
JAZZ FESTIVAL but the most popular of all is the
CAR-NIVAL in summer.

Guadelope

Festivals
The CARNIVAL on Guadeloupe is the highlight of all
ferstivals and takes place in February each year.
You will see many colourful parades and there are
some beauty contests too. The FETE DES CUISINIERES
is also popular and takes place in summer. There
are many more local and French festivals like the
BASTILLE DAY and SCHOELCHER DAY.

Festivals
The CARIBBEAN MUSIC EXPO takes place in March and
is very popular among locals and tourists. The CAR-NIVAL
is celebrated in April and is another highlight
on Jamaica. The REGGAE DAY and the REGGAE SUMMER
FESTIVAL are held in June. Jamaicas INDEPENDENCE
DAY is in August and the well-known FILM FESTIVAL
is in October.
At the end of the year the REGGAE MARA-THON takes
place.

Festivals
Every village on Martinique has its own festival
and the public French holidays will also be celebrated.
Actually you can see always every-where a festival.
In February the CARNIVAL will be celebrated which
is the major event of the island. BASTILLE DAY,
on 14th July, is a national holiday and held on
Mar-tinique as well. There are some REGATTA´S
on the island. Worth experien-cing are also the
MARTINIQUE FOOD SHOW in April and the CULTURAL FESTIVAL
in July.

Puerto Rico celebrates many local religious festivals

The STATIA DAY on 16th Novem-ber is celebrated on
