Festivals
Like on other islands the CARNIVAL here is the highlight
of events too. On St. Kitts it takes place in winter
and on Nevis in summer. The 2nd June is the OFFICIAL
BIRTHDAY OF THE QUEEN . The INDE-PENDENCE DAY is
on 19th September and a major event. There is a
SAILING REGATTA in September and a FISH-ING TOURNA-MENT
in October. The MUSIC FESTIVAL on St. Kitts in June
is also worth a visit. In Cayon you may visit the
colourful GREEN VALLEY FESTI-VAL which takes place
in May and June. It´s celebrates the life
of the town.

Festivals
St.
Lucia has many festivals and the tourism board is
organizing festivals the whole year round.
The
January starts with the popular cooking contest
LET´S COOK ST. LUCIA and the winner will be
the best chef on the island. The INDE-PENDENT DAY
is on 22nd February and this day will be celebrated
with parades and shows. In May the fa-mous WHITSUNTIDE
WEEKEND will be held and most beaches are crow-ded
by locals who do picnic.
Now
in the 7th year the ST. LUCIA JAZZ FESTIVAL will
be held in May. The highlight of the year is the
CARNEVAL in August where the whole island seems
to be on the streets. Also in August is the ROSE
FESTIVAL, which has it´s origin from the colonial
days. In October the CRÉOLE DAY takes place
and everybody celebrates the créole language.
The December is actually a festival month, because
many festivals starts than. Highlights are CHRISTMAS,
NATIONALDAY and many SPORTS and CULTURE EVENTS

Festivals
The CARNIVAL in April is the highlight of the year
and
is celebrated mainly in the capital.
The BIRTHDAY OF THE DUTCH QUEEN on 30th April is
celebrated also and so as the NATIONALDAY on 11th
November.
HEINE-KEN REGATTA in March and the SUMMER FESTIVAL
in June are also popular.

The CARNIVAL in summer is the highlight of the year
and nearly every-body seems to celebrate it out
on the streets. Another highlight is CHRIST-MAS.
St. Vincent has not many other large events but

The CARNIVAL on Trinidad is the most well known
festival in the Caribbean! It´s celebrated
in January and February and at this time visitors
from all over the world arrive in Port-of-Spain.
The HINDU FESTIVAL DIVALI is also colourful and
thousands of candles make it very romantic! The
CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW and the TOBAGO HERITAGE FESTIVALS
shouldn´t be missed either
