| On Sunday 24th January the B-Mobile Blackberry International Soca Monarch semi finals took place in Trinidad. After a long three days of the judges getting the results ready from their decisions and a public vote by text, the results are in! The contestants of the Groovy category will be:
Defending champion Fay-ann Lyons Alvarez and her song has not been announced,
Kerwin Dubois with Pavement,
Shurwayne Winchester with Murder,
Patrice Roberts with Wuk It,
Chucky with Drifin,
Rikki Jai with Barman,
Zoelah from St. Vincent with More Water,
KMC with Nah bad talk man,
Lil Bitts with Careful,
TC from Barbados with Hot sun and rhythm,
Nnika Francis from Grenada with Survivor
and Ainsley King with Bawl Out.
In the Power category will be the following artists:
